Busy busy, assignments and reports starting to pile up. (!!!)
My new room ^_^Level 3 this time (instead of Level 8 last year, wait lifts also susah -_-''). We get curtains too!
A scene I'll see everyday. It's just outside my door. BBQ smells will waft up every now and then.
Other than the fact that the canteen is still pretty damn far away (as I elaborated in my last post), I have no complains. No drifting mountain roads facing my window -- which could get noisy at nights. Much closer to the bus terminal as well, so I can afford to sleep in later every morning. =P
So I'm back in business. Singapore again after a much-needed 1-and-a-half months break.
I got an A+ for Principles of Economics, but couldn't manage to get into the coveted FSAE programme. Go figure. Not like those 2 are related anyway. But still... can't help but be a lil' bitter about it.
Anyway, new academic year = new room. This time round I got a more "central" room. More of being in the middle of the whole PGP Residences when compared to last year, when I was stuck in one corner of the residence. So I should be happy right? Yeah well, sort of.
You see, while my walking distance to the bus terminal each morning is drastically shorten, I still have to walk damn far to the canteen. "But why??? I thought your room is more centralized now", you may say. Let the picture do the talking shall we?
You may recall this map of Prince George's Park Residences (PGPR) which I showed you all last year.
Black color shows where I was last year, and how far I had to walk to the cafeteria. Red color shows the same, only for this year.
KNNBCCB! I move, canteen also have to move! The whole of last year, the unused canteen was tagged with "Renovations underway" or some shit like that, my foot. Now, when I'm halfway on the other side, they pulak go renovate the other canteen, and opened up the "Renovations underway" canteen wtf.
I just got pwn'ed by PGPR man... =_= And it's still the same old stalls no change... double =_=
Actually it's already been 2 weeks, but I was lazy to blog =P
It feels good to be finally able to kick back and relax after... what... 4 months of study (I took Special Semester mah)? Eat, sleep, drive, game, see friends, surf aimlessly, etc. This is the LIFE!
And good results from Special Semester helped =)
Must enjoy kaw kaw before going back Singapore, which could be as early as next Sunday if I'm chosen for NUS Formula SAE. O_o Vacations would be rare after that.
And a special shoutout to Mun. Won't forget you. Won't ever. =)
Academic Year 2006/2007 finally draws to an end. I just completed my first year of university studies away from home.
Right after my last paper Critical Thinking & Writing, I went out with a couple of friends to catch Spiderman 3 at Lido, Orchard. Good movie, not-so-good cineplex. That place's old. The screen size was almost half of what we get nowadays at the newest cinemas.
The following day, I fell sick. Great timing huh? At least it had the courtesy to wait till I was done with my exams. Was very feverish. Laid in bed for almost 2 whole days, popping Panadols and drinking water like a fish. Felt really terrible. =(
Headed over to the basketball courts just now. Thought of working up a little sweat to help cool any remnants of fever. Still not 100% recovered. Didn't see much familiar faces there... after some shots, I came back.
Most of my friends are already back in Malaysia, enjoying the start of the 3-month-long holidays, while I'll still be here till mid-June, doing my Special Semester -- which is gonna start on Monday.
I've chosen this for myself as I believe it would help reduce my workload in future semesters, especially if I intend to join FSAE.
So why do I feel so lonely within...?
Maybe I just need to recover fully.
Happy holidays my friends. I'll see you again come August.
Check out this made-in-Malaysia "Tokyo Drift" movie trailer. Coming soon to a cinema near you.
"Orang nak main kereta, lu pun nak main kereta. Lain kali kalau takder duit, jadi mat rempit sajalah" LOL
The "guy-looks-over-at-rival-and-paikia-rival-looks-back-before-race" scene is sooooooo cliche.
Btw the guy in the red Waja is Tengku Djan. He's the read deal - has represented Malaysia in the D1 GP (an international drift competition) before. And that Waja has its drivetrain modified to rear-wheel drive, which explains why it can drift well. =P
